Sogni d’Oriente

Contemporary Art Exhibition

Sogni d’Oriente is a contemporary art exhibition that unfolds as a journey of the soul, where art becomes a language of balance, transformation, and quiet introspection. Hosted at Arté – Art Gallery & Restaurant of the Grand Hotel Villa Castagnola, the exhibition invites visitors to slow down and experience art as a moment of awareness and contemplation.

On view from January 29 to November 21, 2026, the exhibition brings together five international artists whose works draw inspiration from Eastern philosophy, nature, memory, and spirituality:

  • Annalù

  • Jernej Forbici

  • Lara Martinato

  • Alice Zanin

  • Kyoji Nagatani

Through sculptures, paintings, and mixed-media works, the artists explore themes of impermanence, harmony, and inner transformation. Zen philosophy, symbolic forms, and natural elements intertwine to create a poetic dialogue between East and West, where each artwork becomes an invitation to reflect on one’s relationship with time, nature, and the self.

Rather than portraying the East as a distant place, (Sogni d’Oriente) reveals it as an inner horizon — a direction of the soul. Here, artistic gestures take on a ritual dimension, and form transforms into meditation, encouraging visitors to reconnect with a deeper, more intuitive way of seeing.

Set within the serene atmosphere overlooking Lake Lugano, the exhibition offers an immersive experience where art, space, and emotion converge, leaving room for personal interpretation and quiet resonance.
